Choosing Your Colour Temperature
This detail makes a bigger difference than most people expect.
- Warm white (2700K–3000K) — Golden tone. Suits wooden cabinetry and traditional kitchens.
- Neutral white (4000K) — Our recommendation for most kitchens. Balanced daylight feel — colours look accurate, which matters when you’re checking if that avocado is actually ripe.

Installation Tips That Actually Matter
Mount towards the front edge of the cabinet, not against the wall. Back-mounting lights the splashback nicely but leaves the worktop — where you actually work — in shadow.
Use 24V strips, not 12V. For kitchen runs longer than 2 metres, 24V maintains consistent brightness across the full length. 12V dims noticeably at the far end.
Hide everything. The magic is seeing the light but not the source. Aluminium profiles conceal the strip completely. Run cables through cabinet interiors or use adhesive clips along the back edge.
Test before you commit. Temporarily tape the strip in position and power it up. You’ll immediately see if the placement creates shadows or if the colour temperature clashes with your tiles.
