Light modules click onto the rail magnetically. No tools, no wiring. Reposition, swap, or add modules in seconds. Change your lighting layout as your space evolves.
Low voltage system -- safe to handle modules while the track is powered. No risk of electric shock. Suitable for homes, offices, and commercial spaces.
One rail profile supports four installation types: recessed into gypsum or plaster ceilings, surface-mounted on concrete, suspended from high ceilings, or wall-mounted vertically.
Smart modules offer tunable white (2700K-6000K) -- warm in the evening, cool for daytime tasks. App and voice control via ZigBee. All smart modules are dimmable.
Where to Use Magnetic Tracks
Magnetic tracks are popular wherever you need flexible, reconfigurable lighting. The modular system lets you mix spotlights, floods, and pendants on a single rail -- creating layered lighting that adapts to how you use the space. Because modules snap on magnetically, you can rearrange your lighting in seconds. Retail stores reposition spots when displays change. Homeowners swap between warm pendants and bright floods for different occasions.
Track Rails -- The Foundation
The 4-in-1 rail supports recessed, surface, suspended, and wall-mount installation from a single aluminium profile. Available in 1000mm and 2000mm lengths. Join rails end-to-end with I connectors, or create L, T, and U shapes with corner joints. The rail carries 48V DC power -- all modules and PSUs connect magnetically along its length.
Spotlights & Pendants
Adjustable spotlights for accent and task lighting -- aim light exactly where you need it. Globe spotlights add decorative flair with a spherical diffuser. Magnetic pendants drop below the track for statement lighting over dining tables and kitchen islands. All snap on and off the rail in seconds. Available in Regular (3000K) and Smart (tunable 2700K-6000K).
Flood & Grille Lights
Linear flood lights provide even ambient wash along the entire track length. Corner flood lights wrap around 90-degree turns for seamless illumination at junctions. Grille lights offer deep-set anti-glare downlighting -- ideal for offices and task areas. Mix floods with spots on the same rail for layered lighting.
48V Power Supplies
Every magnetic track needs a 48V DC power supply. Inline PSUs hide inside the track rail for a clean, concealed look -- ideal for short runs. External PSUs mount separately and deliver higher wattage for longer track layouts. Size your PSU at 80% of rated capacity for longevity: a 200W inline handles ~160W of modules; a 350W external handles ~280W.
Connectors & Accessories
Build custom track layouts with connectors. I connectors join rails in a straight line. L connectors create 90-degree turns. T connectors branch in three directions for complex layouts. Corner joints maintain the rail profile through turns. Suspension kits enable pendant-style hanging from high ceilings. All from KSh 650.
Regular vs Smart
Fixed 3000K warm white output. Simple, reliable, and affordable.
From KSh 1,300 (grille light) to KSh 3,500 (pendant).
Best for: consistent warm lighting where colour adjustment is not needed.
Tunable white 2700K-6000K. Warm for evenings, cool for daytime tasks.
From KSh 3,500 (grille) to KSh 5,500 (linear flood 20W).
App and voice control via ZigBee. Compatible with Alexa and Tuya ecosystems.
Best for: living rooms, bedrooms, and spaces where mood and productivity matter.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does magnetic track lighting cost in Kenya?
Track rails from KSh 1,650 per metre. Connectors from KSh 650. Spotlights from KSh 2,400. Linear flood lights from KSh 1,600. Grille lights from KSh 1,300. Pendants from KSh 3,500. Smart (tunable white) modules are available at a premium. A 48V power supply (KSh 3,600-6,500) is required per track run.
What is the difference between magnetic and 2-wire track lighting?
Magnetic track uses 48V DC low voltage -- modules snap on/off magnetically with no tools. You can reposition lights in seconds. 2-wire track uses mains voltage (220V) and lights twist-lock into the track. 2-wire is more robust for heavy industrial fixtures, while magnetic is more flexible, safer, and modern.
Can I mix different light types on one magnetic track?
Yes. That is the main advantage. You can mix spotlights, linear floods, grille lights, globe accents, and pendants on a single track rail. This lets you combine task, ambient, and decorative lighting on one system.
Do you deliver magnetic track lighting across Kenya?
Yes. We deliver across Kenya including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, and all major towns. Orders within Nairobi can be delivered same-day. For system design advice, contact us on WhatsApp at +254 782 333 333.
